Currently I am state side and staying very busy.
God has blessed me with a job at a supplements/ health food store called The Grainery. I am constantly learning new things and enhancing my knowledge on what affects our bodies. I have also been blessed with additional side jobs, such as house cleaning and landscaping.
Even though I am state side I’m still able to serve the Bethesda house as a staff member. I help with online projects such as new business cards and updating our online information.
As you may know my YWAM Journey first started in Sept of 2012.
I did my Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Harrisburg PA and went to South Africa for the first time in January of 2013
I already knew I was feeling drawn back to South Africa by the end of my first trip and ended back there again in September of the same year. This is when I did my Leading by the Spirit Course (LBSC) and was introduced to The Bethesda House.
I joined staff at The Bethesda House in January of 2015 and completely fell in love with everyone I work with.
What is The Bethesda House?
Bethesda House (meaning “place of the outpouring, house of mercy”) is a ministry of Youth With A Mission situated in Muizenberg, South Africa. We exist to see people encounter God, be restored and equipped to transform communities.
Our mission is to Encounter, Restore, and Equip
Our 4 main focuses:
1: Worship and prayer- Cultivating and inspiring intimacy with God to bring transformation of individuals, communities, cities and nations.
2: Evangelism- Bringing people into life changing encounters with Jesus in creative ways locally, nationally and internationally.
3: Restorative Ministry- including prophetic encouragement, healing areas of pain and trauma, freedom from oppression and identity restoration.
4: Training- Equipping leaders and local churches in areas of leadership development, prophecy, evangelism, spiritual facilitation, worship and prayer.
I am preparing to stay long term in South Africa and join The Bethesda House full time. My goal is to return in January of 2016 with a 3 year visa in hand. I have just signed a lease on an apartment in the Muizenberg area and am seeing things start to come together as Gods plans are unfolding for me.
Now as extraordinary as The Bethesda House is they do not cover my expenses and all of my time is volunteer work.
